Also known as the Waller’s gazelle, the gerenuk is a long necked species of antelope, native to the shrubland and desert of the Horn of Africa and the African Great Lakes. The babirusas distinctive long tusks continue to grow throughout their life and if they did not grind them, they would eventually grow long enough to penetrate their own skull. The beautiful saiga antelope once inhabited huge parts of the Eurasian steppe zone. Today the species is critically endangered with very small numbers remaining in Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia. Found in central China and northern Mynamar. Male tufted deer also have fang like canines(Vampire teeth), which protrude from their mouths, giving them a very distinctive appearance. It's a bat of all things. Native to the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the okapi may look a little zebra like with its stripey legs, but it is really most closely related to the giraffe. The lowland streaked tenrec can be found in the tropical rain forest of northern and eastern Madagascar. The Panda ant. The Thorny dragon is really an Australian lizard, which can grow up to 20cm (7 7/8 inch) in length and can live for 20 years. These rabbit like creatures are found in Argentina, including large parts of Patagonia. This carnivorous, cat like mammal is native to Madagascar and is around the size of a small cougar. Umbonia Spinosa. Zebra duikers get their name from the distinctive black strips on their coats. The duiker can be found in Liberia, The Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Venezuelan Poodle Moth.
