No Playing Hooky

To help kids make it more often to school, maybe we should try and change their transportation! I liked school but it would have been more fun getting there! This is no substitute for our wonderful educators that are not always cast in the best light. Education has many different aspects to it. My niece just started teaching in Texas. She is so excited and such a sweetheart.
I pray that the good Lord helps her to be a good example to the kids as well a memorable teacher. I remember well my first grade teacher Mrs. Kinkade. My fifth grade teacher was Mrs. Moline. We were watching the educational channel when she had left the class for a few minutes and came back in crying. She turned off the TV and wept as she told us that President Kennedy of the United States had been killed. The whole classroom began to cry out loud.
We did not understand everything but the tragedy was just as painful for us kids as well. I got home and my mom was crying also. We were greatly impacted by the death of our president. But our teacher helped guide us through the healing process! Great teaching lives on through your students. When remembering that time of loss those same feelings come rushing back to me. By the way Mrs. Kinkade was my first teacher crush! My wife didn't even know that!
