Ouch! That’s Going To Leave A Mark!
By Mark Flippo
I guess everyone has had at least one situation in their life that has left its mark on you. In my neighborhood, there is a 450 degree turn in the road! You really have to slow down to stay on the road. There is a tree at that turn that showed that someone was not careful enough. Someone who missed the turn and took out part of the tree. It has been several years since that happened because that tree had showed some signs of healing. Although, the signs of the scar from the impact are still visible.
Just like us, when we have had a chunk taken out of us emotionally. We can heal some on our own, but the scar is still there. We need God to come into our lives and do some surgery to remove our scars and help us heal properly. Then the disasters we face will become a stepping stone not a stumbling block. When life takes a bad curve do you want others to see your scar, or do you want to tell how God helped you? The way you can help others, is by knowing how God helped you through your difficult time.
