We Have Our Moments
By Mark Flippo
I know I have my less than brilliant moments. I only hope the gentleman working on the electricity has the power off. I am not sure if that is balance to have those awkward moments. We are capable of great and wonderful achievements! Those times sparkle like the stars. Well the other times are like a black hole in space destroying anything that comes in contact with it.
Sorry dad, I took a lot of things apart that I could not put them back together. Nowadays I just have extra nuts and bolts. I heard the "if you do that one more time" scolding more times than I would like to remember. Painful backside memories. Some of the things they taught me was Please, Thank You, Yes Sir, No Sir, Yes Ma'am, No Ma'am, and a big one is "I am Sorry"!
You did not disrespect your parents like kids do these days. It was good for all of us that went through that. We did not die. I miss the respect and courtesy that was taught not that long ago! Times have changed. Somethings have been good. But what have we lost in the process? Sweet Jesus help people to turn back to you as their daily bread and not just a snack on Sunday!
