Children Our Example
By Mark Flippo
I just love kids!! They can influence an adult faster than anyone. The little boy in the photo is so sweet and just makes me smile. Do kids help you smile or do you cringe when they are around? Are you just waiting for the crying or the screaming? The tantrums? If you expect the worse from them, you will be satisfied at some point. It is no wonder Jesus Loved the little children! You just want to hug and protect them! When I walk through any store and I see a baby or a toddler they just bring a big smile to my face! Although if they are throwing a tantrum I smile from a much further distance away!
Sorry it's a grandparent thing! You may want to hold them but you're glad you're not the one having to deal with this child. Although when they learn to talk, it is not always good. We were standing in the church lobby, when my youngest about 6 years old declared "My Mom pops the zits on my Dad's neck!" I could have went through my life without the whole church knowing that!! How embarrassing! Children keep us honest! They better not know any secret because they don't understand when you tell them to please not say anything to their grandparents! You can guarantee it will be said! Perhaps they Humble us as well. Jesus we Love them anyway!
