For weeks in January 2015, an underwater volcano sent volcanic ash thousands of feet in the air near the South Pacific island nation of Tonga. The continuous eruptions created a new island that scientists say won't last longer than several months. Tonga officials said the island was half a mile wide and just under a mile long and 820 feet high. A volcano began erupting near Tonga, a Polynesian sovereign state in the South Pacific Ocean that is comprised of 176 islands. The underwater eruption was so large, it sent a pillar of ash into the sky, canceling all international flights to and from the island. In fact, the volcano moved above water during the eruption to form a new island. All land is in God's Hands, He can make it rise or fall below the water. He can cover it with ash or lava. Maybe by mud is He so choices!! Tectonic plates do the Master's bidding! The above island is only three months old. Beautiful but dangerous!
