LIFE'S LITTLE HICCUPS!
By Mark Flippo
Wouldn't it be great if we had smooth sailing in our lives on a regular basis. But that would not be real life. If you're anything like me I almost never have just one thing going wrong at a time. One New Year's day our furnace, vacuum cleaner, and our refrigerator all went out at the same time. Another time I was in the hospital with a gallbladder attack our Central Air unit broke and our garage door opener spring broke with my wife could not get the car out of the garage. Everybody has those times that try your soul. GOD allows things to happen to you to help you mature.
He's always desiring for us to handle things in a mature fashion, not getting angry or depressed. When we were little children you may have thrown a tantrum or held your breath until you starting turning purple. When you got a little older the same situation might have made us unhappy but would not have caused a tantrum. As we continue to grow we learn to handle situations differently. That is the maturing process. Spiritually it is the same.
We must mature to a place that we can help others through their difficult times. At each level of change in our process of growing up in Him, He can trust us with greater things. He will reveal Himself to you so that you can please Him more. I want to be more like my Savior don’t you?
