The coconut tree (Cocos nucifera) is a member of the family Arecaceae (palm family). It is the only accepted species in the genus Cocos. The term coconut can refer to the entire coconut palm, the seed, or the fruit, which, botanically, is a drupe, not a nut. The term is derived from the 16th-century Portuguese and Spanish word coco meaning "head" or "skull", from the three indentations on the coconut shell that resemble facial features
Now that is just plain weird! Well it is much easier to harvest Coconuts. Did God make this grow closer to the ground for children to be able to eat of this fruit? God provides for us in mysterious ways. Do you have something that you did not plant but have benefited from? I have a Persimmon tree as well as Hickory nut trees. We have wild Blackberries at a certain time of year. Trust Him for your needs because He is more than capable! He often supplies our wants as well!
